August: All about FOOD!

August is definitely a month that I'm gonna grow FAT! Well, it all started with my birthday~ 

Or the day before my birthday where I suddenly received messages from Jia Herng asking me for dinner.

I was surprised that he would drive all the way from Klang to UM just for a dinner! (sorry JH! XD)

I was thinking," Hmm... this should be Teck Yong's farewell dinner before he go to Korea..."

And then we end up in Oiso because somehow the impression I gave to most people is that I'm a Korean! XD .....OK! Not funny.....

 Hmm..I forget what this called but it's not Soondubu  Jjigae hahaha

And Ah Sai pretend to go GSC for some work business but he was actually went to buy a slice of cake as a surprise when we went back UM! 

I'm so stupid that I didn't even notice the packet of stuff was a slice of Secret Recipe cake when we were meeting at the parking lot before heading back that he was actually swinging it up high saying it's a free popcorn!
So, I owe u guys a thank! (to JH, TY, Sheng and Sai)

OK! On my birthday, Sher Lynn, as always as every year date me out for dinner. This year, Cocoro was with us! We went to a restaurant called Andes BYO which belongs to Sher's friend. We had lambs! and a very special fries made of luncheon meat called Porky Fries if I'm not mistaken.

This is what I had for that day~ Simple yet delicious served with mushroom sauce. (Cocoro chose black pepper sauce)

Of course it didn't just end there... We went to Rekindle for second round~

Thanks Sher for always celebrating my birthday with me almost every year on the exact day! And thanks Cocoro for celebrating it this year!

The next one was not actually a planned birthday celebration but Kiki Wong was here to pass me the birthday card she made me. They're in Chinese and kinda deep which I gave up translating them until she told me she made a mistake by sticking the wrong content... That was supposed to be Jia Jia's LOL! Well, we had our lunch or brunch together with Sheng and Yong Quan at Plan B.

The next celebration was a surprise as well! Susan was the one who booked me and supposed Marilyn and Cocoro are joining as well.

However, on that day, she pretend that she forget to update them which I believe and last minute 'jio' them.

By the time we reach their house, I saw a car similar to Sher's and debate with Susan what car did Sher drive!

Cocoro acts nothing when I'm asking her is that the type of car Sher drives and she answer me she don't know what's Sher's car plate number. So I was convinced Sher's not there... 

When we enter their room, Deng Deng Deng Deng! Sher's there holding a slice of cake!

That was a surprise coz the original plan was without Sher~
To be honest, when I saw the car I thought maybe Sher was there to meet up with Cocoro which is a coincidence but then I was convinced by Cocoro that Sher's not there.

Then after having the cake we headed to SOULed OUT!

Steak! Supposed to be served with wedges if I'm not mistaken but I request for mashed potato~ Thanks Susan for this delicious meal~

 Well, SOULed OUT is one of the restaurant at Nexus which is located at Bangsar South. A little bit hot cause it's outdoor and kinda like a bar for the indoor.

It is so nice that a picture is a must! XD Thanks babes!

After dinner, Marilyn bought me a cup of Chatime! XD

Next was the gathering with POSUM gang! Mostly everytime that when we were having gathering is because Li Ee's coming back from Japan but this time it was because Jye Ming's came from Johor! Believe it or not, we met Ee more than we met Ming!

We meet up at Bangsar where we had our brunch at Yeast! Me and Sher share our meal and Susan and I share a soup of the day!

Soup of the day: Potato and Leek soup (Am I correct?) Definitely yummy cause it taste so potato-ish!

After the light meal (since we are sharing our meals), we plan to hang out at Artisan in Bangsar Village (after a long discussion). Actually, the day before that I went to the Artisan at PJ with Phillip Chee and I order the same thing~ LOL

Mocha and Cheese slice! Which I notice both branches use different name so it's either Cheese Slice or Cheese Pie

I'm glad that we are still meeting up from time to time although everytime not everyone are here!

The next was with Jeff, Wilson and Trey where Jeff did plan it for a long time! Thanks for that! We had our dinner at D' Balcony Bar at Publika~ Their service kinda so so and well, it feels like u're in Overtime. Band were singing but they were more to classical songs I guess.

Ribs!! Pork Ribs! That's what we had! well it's a little bit dry but I guess ribs are supposed to be dry instead of having gravy all over it.

After that, we went to Journal by Plan B for coffee and cakes but too bad I don't have any picture of the cake. They Chocolate Banana cake taste great though.

The next was Marilyn's birthday! We were planning for a surprise for her at Brotzeit but I guess we failed a little bit. Hahaha! We were supposed to treat her food but end up she was paying the most!

When we are talking about German food how can we missed German sausage?!

Crispy pizza with sausages and mushrooms on it! My type of pizza coz I like thin pizza!

A side dish, I guess it's like a type of pasta.

A cocktail I guess, the one without alcohol. Reminds me of Nicki Minaj though

Another ribs for this month. This one comes with sauce of course separately (Personally prefer this than the one at D' Balcony). Marilyn's the one paying coz she says usually the birthday one should treat others to eat! Thanks Marilyn!

So, it's the end of August which means time to go home. On that night, had dinner with dad and mum at Sugar Melon at One City~ The Skypark is nice though!

Lamb Shank is what I had! Thought it says it comes with broccolli in the menu but where are they?? Like the mashed potato and gravy though. The meat is soft and just nice!

 
Well, that's it!

Before I end this post, I like to thank those who wishes me for my birthday and the effort of planning those celebration and not forgetting those who bought me presents!
